March – Nevis to St. Kitts Cross-Channel Swim
Held each spring, this iconic 2.5-mile (4.1 km) open-water swim begins on Nevis’ Oualie Beach and crosses the “Narrows” to Cockleshell Beach on St. Kitts. Athletes often find themselves alongside sea turtles and rays in crystal-clear waters. 2025 marks the event’s 24th year, making it both a challenging competition and a celebration of community spirit.
June – St. Kitts Music Festival
For three days in late June, the St. Kitts Music Festival transforms Basseterre into a stage of global sounds. Local and international artists perform reggae, soca, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and more. Against the backdrop of the Caribbean sunset, this festival has become one of the region’s most anticipated cultural events.
July – St. Kitts & Nevis Restaurant Week
Every July, the islands’ best chefs showcase inventive dishes inspired by a featured local ingredient. July / August – Culturama (Nevis)

September – Independence Day (Sept 19)
